MBA (Technology & Management) is an innovative, practice-centric & industry oriented program focusing on application of advanced data analysis tools for decision making in management. Due to extensive applications of technology in big data analysis, the managers need to acquire skills in advanced tools like data mining, machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, business analytics, etc. for decision making in areas of finance, marketing, human resource, strategy formulation, idea generation for entrepreneurship and other functional areas of management. The future managers look entrepreneurship as one of the promising career options, in addition to service sector jobs. Therefore, for promoting employability and quality in management education, in addition to an input of management concepts and human behavior, advanced technological tools and application of technology in decision making becomes important.
Globalization, IT revolution and COVID-19 have been the major disruptive forces that brought in drastic changes in economic realities and the way they need to be managed. In the same context, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) of Jagan Nath University, Jaipur has developed a highly innovative and futuristic management program focusing on developing managers for organizations and for entrepreneurship in the emerging business world scenario.
MBA (Technology & Management) is two years (4 semesters) program, in which focus is on developing sound conceptual understanding of management core courses as well as technological tools for managerial decision making during the first year (two semesters), application of technology for data analysis and decision making in different functional areas of management through electives/specialization courses in third semester and internship placements in industry and/or at incubation centers during the last semester for project work, practical exposure, managerial skills development, idea generation and start-up projects.

To enhance student skills at s the critical decision dilemmas faced by organizations, help in applying concepts, principles and analytical skills to solve the delineated problems and develop effective templates for business problem solving.
In teams, students learn to work and adapt with diverse workforce while working on specified assignments. Various managerial and negotiation skills get fostered in the students as they are expected to research and analyse latest industry developments, incorporate theoretical concepts, understand and propose innovative solutions to the business challenges.
As a part of different courses and internships, various projects are undertaken in which students go through experiential learning.
The Department of Management arranges for regular visit by industry personnel having huge experience and unparalleled expertise. This ensures that the students have get to know about the latest happenings in the industry, thereby making them ready for their future endeavours.
Topics related to the course are given in advance to the students, who then make the oral presentation with or without the help of audio-visual aids. The Q&A session at the end is held to resolve queries from the participants.
Students are assigned certain roles in a given situation and they have to respond according to their characters. The process is usually repeated to make the students understand the various alternative actions and their repercussions.
Periodic assessment of the learning provided is normally done through quiz and exercises, which can be oral, MCQ or short answer type.
Expanded core course offerings that include Business Intelligence/ Analytic, spread sheet modelling and a Project focused Capstone course.
In addition to developing a strong background in the functional areas of business, the revised MBA curriculum focuses on developing essential leadership capabilities in its graduates. Encouraging leadership building through the Leadership Initiative of student council/ clubs/ Business Thought Leadership (BTL) Series and or experiential learning programs. Also fostering entrepreneurship through Innovation Labs.
In the last twenty years several Indian organizations have made remarkable presence in the global business scenario with the innovation of new business models and building world class organisations. The quick examples are Infosys, Dr Reddy Laboratories, Tata group and ITC E-choupal, National Stock Exchange, few micro finance companies and so on. Faculty to appropriately pickup such examples and motivate the students for evolving world class models from India.
The students be equipped to work across time zones, languages, and cultures by working on a project with collaborated institutions from department/institute’s Global Network/international linkages.
Apart from course faculty, now while introducing MBA (Technology & Management) Program, using modern ICT technology students will learn in class room from global experts who bring real-time insights from their industries, customers, happenings in their local place and environment which will stimulate different ways of thinking.
Candidates who have a Bachelor’s degree (in any stream) from a recognized University with 50 % marks in the aggregate.
The program is of 4 semesters which may be completed within a minimum duration of 2 years and a maximum duration of 4 years.
MBA (Technology & Management) curriculum has been designed to help students develop sophisticated analytical skills and understanding the way business functions are performed in the areas of marketing, finance and operations and others. They will learn data-driven decision making process, to assess complex business problems and deliver innovative solutions.
Real business problems are complex, ambiguous and occur in an environment that is dynamic. In MBA (T&M) program, students will learn how and when to use the most cutting-edge analytical tools to assess and analyze the problem, reach to conclusion, present findings, set a strategy and lead its implementation. MBA Core Courses will build functional knowledge, and Career Tracks will deliver the right mix of electives to build expertise in chosen profession. Add on executive coaching through the program and real-world experiences that complement Career Tracks, built an MBA program that is the perfect launching pad for career. The Program will also include additional certifications from relevant national & international bodies to enhance the employability of students.
MBA (T&M) curriculum has been carefully mapped to deliver what is needed for long-term success. In the first year, course structure will focus on functional areas knowledge and building the skills that need to succeed and thrive in summer internship. In the second year, focus will be on the executive competencies that need to honed for career progression.
