Introduction

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) Information Technology program is an innovative, business-focused, and practice-focused program intended to provide students with an integrated problem-solving and decision-making methodology in Information Technology. It is a two-year (four-semester) program focusing on the conceptual grasp of core management concepts during the first year and applications of tools of data analysis and decision-making in special areas during the second year.

The initial two semesters focus on building a strong management base, and then the third and fourth semesters allow students to learn electives and specialisations related to specific information technology. In addition, students also go through internships, placements, and/or work in incubation centres, thereby gaining practical experience.

Practical skills are honed through activities such as live case studies, real-life scenario simulations, field exposure projects, group assignments, role-playing exercises, and regular industry interactions. Programme Eligibility

The following MBA Information Technology eligibility criteria must be met for the MBA Information Technology admission process -

  • Candidates must possess a graduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Shortlisted candidates by the university will have to appear for one of the entrance tests: Management Aptitude Test, Common Admission Test, Common Management Admission Test, or Jagannath University Entrance Examination. It will be followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
