Introduction

B. Sc. (Hons.) Agribusiness plays a vital role in the Indian Economy. Almost 60 percent of the Indian work force is involved in agriculture and there is potential for the substantial growth of the sector. The demand for the trained professional in this field is very high both nationally & internationally. A student after completing B.Sc. in Agribusiness gets a well-paying job right after Graduation and can also progress towards Post Graduate degree and Research.

The major focus is on quality, field exposure and project based education in agribusiness program. The effort of the curriculum for B. Sc. (Hons.) Agribusiness remains on effective delivery of course curriculum with adequate Practical and Hands-on-Training covering, Experiential learning, Skill Development Training, In Plant Industry Training and Students Projects.

  2. Eligibility Criteria : The candidate must have completed 10+2 in science with 50% marks with Agriculture/ Biology/Chemistry/ Mathematics/Physics subjects

B.Sc. Agribusiness is an undergraduate degree program that is offered to create professionals with agricultural and managerial skills. It will help you acquire the basic knowledge and skills to become a successful manager of a business and develop your skills of critical observation.
The Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness will teach s tudent s about the management of agricultural and other land-based businesses and enterprises that go hand in hand with agriculture. B.Sc. Agribusiness course syllabus is designed to meet the need of the agriculture industry
Students will studies various processes involved with agriculture like breeding, livestock production and management, plant biotechnology, machinery etc along with the marketing and sales strategy of food and agriculture products. All the activities ranging from farm planning to getting the food to the table are a part of Agribusiness.

    1. Opportunities for hands-on learning, such as industry training or projects : B. Sc. (Hons.) Agribusiness student has to undergo with 1 semester of industrial training.
