Dr. Om Prakash Sharma received B.E. degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Year 1996 and M.E. in Digital Communication from Jai Narayan Vyas University, M.B.M. Engineering College, Jodhpur, India, in 2001. He completed his Ph.D. in year 2010 on Channel Modeling and Detection of Signal on Fading Channels from Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, Rajasthan (India).
He has 26 years of experience in Administration, Academics and Research. Presently he is Pro-President & Dean Faculty of Engineering & Technology, fulfilling his academic, research and administrative duties respectively. He has been a State Govt. Nominee in Board of Management (BOM) at Rajasthan Technical University Kota for session 2017-18.
Dr. Sharma has successfully headed and completed four AICTE funded MODROBS Project Grant & Seminar as a Principal Investigator in year 2009, 2011, 2014 and 2018 respectively amounting nearly 50 Lac. He has also successfully guided and completed 18 DST undergraduate projects of Govt. of Raj.
Dr. Sharma has several patent & copy right to his name. He is author of a book Telemetry and Tele-control Engineering. He has successfully guided and completed 25 Masters (ME/M.Tech.) & Ph.D thesis. As a Program Chair and Track Chair he has smoothly conducted more than 20 National and International Conference /Seminar of repute such as IEEE, Springer etc.
Dr. Sharma has to his credit more than 82 research papers published/presented in International/National Journals (SCI/UGC/Scopus), Conferences, Symposiums and Seminars. His areas of interest are Fading Channels, Channel modeling, Antenna design, Wireless communication, Big Data, Cloud Computing and Mobile communication.
Dr. Sharma is recipient of National Eminent Academic Leader Award 2020 form I2OR as a Principal for efficient working and online activities conducted during lock down for smooth conduction of Academics; JW Education Award for Outstanding contribution in the field of Education from Joshila Watan, Digital Channel (2022); Awarded for Exemplary Contribution in Education Sector during New Normal Education Leader Ship Summit 2022 by International_ARDORCOMM, Media; Awarded for Excellence in Education at 12th Principals Teachers Award 2023, organized by Thar Sarvoday Sansthan. Received Elite Silver Certification for successfully completing the courses run by IIT Kharagpur (2019 & 2023), IIT Roorkee (2020), IIT Madras (2021), IIT Bombay (2022) & Indira Gandhi National Open University (2023). He is also empaneled as Fellow Member for the Work Force Development Program 2021-22 series by Nikhil Bharat Shiksha Parisad.
Dr. Sharma is life member of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), India, The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Communication Society, Fellow Institution of Engineers (FIEI) & Nikhil Bharat Shiksha Parisad (NBSP), Computer Society of India (CSI) and many other professional bodies.
