India has a vibrant media industry where newspaper circulation is growing rapidly, magazines are being launched regularly and hundreds of new TV and FM Radio Stations are being licensed annually. The need for consolidating media strengths, improving its intellectual arsenal and enhancing ethical standards of journalism in the country can hardly be overstated.The MA degree in Journalism and Mass Communication prepares students for career in media, journalism, doctoral studies and research. The discipline gives an opportunity to explore and learn the art and craft of journalism and media as well as to develop and disseminate a critical perspective on media, culture and society.

Course Duration

M.A (Journalism & Mass Communication) is a 2-year programme, spread over four-semesters.

Course Eligibility

Graduate of any stream with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate followed by JUEE score and interview.
