Objectives

  • To integrate global knowledge and best practices in neuro physiotherapy by connecting clinicians, researchers, and academicians worldwide.
  • To promote evidence-based neuro physiotherapy through discussion of recent research, innovations, and clinical advancements.
  • To provide exposure to recent advancements, evidence-based practices, and emerging trends in neurorehabilitation.
  • To provide a platform for young professionals and students to present research, share ideas, and develop leadership in neuro rehabilitation.
  • PO 06: Engage in research-oriented activities, including scientific poster presentations, promoting analytical and investigative skills.

Summary

The Department of Physiotherapy, Jagannath University, actively participated in the National Conference on Neuro-Physiotherapy Speciality in Physiotherapy, organised by the Department of Physiotherapy, Mahatma Gandhi University Jaipur, on 23-24 November 2025.The conference focused on the theme “Connecting Minds and Movements: Global Perspectives in Neuro Physiotherapy focused on enhancing knowledge and clinical perspectives in neuro physiotherapy through a series of academic sessions conducted by eminent national and international speakers.

The sessions addressed contemporary concepts, recent research findings, and evidence-based neurorehabilitation strategies, thereby strengthening the students’ understanding of neurological assessment and management.

A special academic session was delivered by Dr. Aditi Singh, Head of the Department, who highlighted the importance of evidence-based practice, professional ethi`cs, and career opportunities in the field of Neuro physiotherapy. Her session provided valuable guidance and motivation to the students.

As part of the scientific activities, a Scientific Poster Competition was organized to encourage student involvement in research. The judging session was conducted by Dr. Ruchika Pal, who evaluated the posters and provided constructive feedback to enhance students’ research aptitude and presentation skills.

In addition to academic activities, a cultural program was organized, including a Dancing Competition. A student from the BPT program actively participated and emerged as the winner of the dancing competition, reflecting the encouragement of extracurricular talents alongside academic excellence.

  • Improved research orientation and scientific presentation skills through poster competition participation.
  • Strengthened professional communication, confidence, and academic motivation among students.

Conclusion

The Neuro Physiocon Conference 2025 organized by the Department of Physiotherapy, Mahatma Gandhi, was a successful academic event that effectively fulfilled its objectives. The conference significantly contributed to knowledge enhancement, research exposure, and professional development of BPT First and Second Year students. The integration of expert lectures, scientific activities, and cultural programs ensured holistic student development. The event concluded with positive feedback and reinforced the importance of continuous learning and evidence-based practice in Neuro physiotherapy.
