National Federation of Engineers for Electrical Safety (NFE) & Panel Discussion
On 4th April 2026, the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jagan Nath University, organized the Inauguration of the Student Chapter of the National Federation of Engineers for Electrical Safety (NFE), followed by MOU signing ceremony and a panel discussion on “Building a Culture of Safety: Challenges & Best Practices in Industries.”
The inaugural session commenced with a formal welcome address by Dr. Ramesh Bharti, TIC (EE). Shri Alkendra Singh, Secretary, NFE Rajasthan, highlighted the significance of establishing an NFE Student Chapter and its role in promoting electrical safety awareness among budding engineers.
Prof. (Dr.) Om Prakash Sharma, Pro-President, Jagan Nath University, in his words of wisdom, encouraged students to actively participate in such professional bodies for their overall development, skill enhancement, and industry readiness. He emphasized maintaining the legacy and vibrancy of the student chapter.
Shri D. D. Aggarwal, President, NFE Rajasthan, inspired students with his motivational words, while Chief Guest Shri Amit Kakkar, Chief Engineer, PWD & RD-North, advised students to bridge the gap between technical knowledge and societal understanding by simplifying electrical engineering concepts for the common public. Other distinguished guests, including Shri Rajesh Goyal, Vice President, NFE Rajasthan, and Shri A. R. Mohnot, Retd. Chief Engineer, JVVNL & CWC Member, NFE Rajasthan, also addressed the gathering and shared their valuable insights.
Following the inaugural session, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was conducted between FET_Jagan Nath University and NFE Rajasthan. The MoU was formally signed by Shri Tanmay Pattnayak, Registrar, Jagan Nath University, and Shri D. D. Aggarwal, President, NFE Rajasthan, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries.
Subsequently, a panel discussion on the theme “Building a Culture of Safety: Challenges & Best Practices in Industries” was successfully organized. The session was coordinated by Dr. Ramesh Bharti, Ms. Priti Vashistha, Mr. Pushpendra Sharma, Mr. Tarun Badiwal, and Mr. Nitin. The discussion provided valuable insights into industrial safety practices, real-world challenges, and preventive strategies.
Around 95 students actively participated in the event, demonstrating great enthusiasm and a keen learning attitude.
