Educational Tour to CSWRI, Avikanagar, Tonk (Raj.)
On October 23, 2024, the Faculty of Agriculture, Jagannath University, organized an educational tour to the Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute (CSWRI), Avikanagar, Rajasthan, under the supervision of Dr. DeendyalBairwa and Dr. Nikki Bhardwaj. The students were warmly welcomed by the institute's members, and engaged in an enriching learning experience. Dr. Amar Singh Meena (Senior Scientist) delivered an insightful lecture on various breeds of goats and rabbits, highlighting their unique traits and economic importance. Dr. Sico Josh (Senior Scientist), provided a detailed overview of different types of wool and wool products, discussing their production processes and applications. Furthermore, Dr. Leela Ram Gurjar, Senior Scientist (Extension), inspired the students with a motivational lecture on the prospects of sheep rearing, emphasizing its role in sustainable livelihood development.
This visit enriched the students' practical knowledge and deepened their understanding of the livestock and wool industry, contributing to their academic and professional growth.
