The Objective Of Celebrating Janmashtami Under The Theme "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" Is To Promote Cultural Unity And National Integration By Showcasing The Diverse Yet Unified Traditions Of Lord Krishna's Birth.

Summary of the Activity

As part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, Jagannath University, under the guidance of the Dean Student Welfare (DSW), organized a vibrant celebration showcasing India's cultural unity through various departmental themes. The Department of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences embraced the theme of Janmashtami, focusing on the life and teachings of Lord Krishna.

Students creatively portrayed different life stages of Lord Krishna — from his mischievous childhood (Bal Leela) to his profound role as a guide and statesman during adulthood. Dramatic representations included key episodes from the Mahabharata, especially highlighting the spiritual and philosophical dialogues between Krishna and Arjuna.

The celebration continued with mesmerizing dance and theatrical performances depicting Krishna Janma Utsav and pivotal scenes from the Mahabharata. These performances not only brought mythological stories to life but also emphasized values of devotion, duty, and righteousness.
