Report on BIZ-MAGE 2026: National Seminar cum Workshop
The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Jagannath University, Jaipur successfully organized a two-day National Seminar cum Workshop titled BIZ-MAGE 2026 on 23rd and 24th April 2026 in collaboration with Rajasthan Centre of Advanced Technology (R-CAT). The event was conducted at the Sitapura Campus of Jagannath University, Jaipur, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 150 students, research scholars, academicians, and faculty members. The seminar was designed around the theme of innovation, digital transformation, and the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence in modern business environments.
The workshop was organized under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Jagannath University and R-CAT. This collaboration reflected the university’s vision of creating strategic partnerships with leading institutions and industry bodies for the benefit of students and faculty members. Shri. Rajat Burman, Chief Manager, Primus Partners represented the collaborative initiative and played an important role in strengthening this academic-industry partnership.
The inaugural session of the seminar began with the ceremonial welcome of distinguished guests and participants. The inaugural address was delivered by Shri.Tanmay Pattnayak, Registrar of Jagannath University. In his speech, he traced the journey and growth of BIZ-MAGE since its inception in 2008. He highlighted how the platform has evolved over the years into an important academic event that encourages innovation, entrepreneurship, and professional development among students.
Prof. Dr. O.P. Sharma, Pro-President, addressed the gathering and guided students on how to gain maximum learning from such workshops and seminars. He emphasized the importance of active participation, curiosity, and continuous upskilling in the rapidly changing global business environment. He encouraged students to use such opportunities to build confidence, network with experts, and prepare themselves for future leadership roles.
The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Shilpi Khandelwal, HoD, FMS, warmly welcomed the dignitaries, speakers, and participants. She explained the relevance of the workshop in the present digital age and stressed the importance of Artificial Intelligence, analytics, and digital tools in management education. She motivated students to learn from the practical experiences of experts invited to the event.
The Chief Guest of the inaugural ceremony was Shri. Pradumna Dixit Joint Director - Department of IT & Communication, Government of Rajasthan DGM - Rajasthan Centre of Advanced Technology (R-CAT). In his inspiring address, he encouraged students to understand the world of technology with a broader perspective. Referring to well-known films such as Invictus and A Beautiful Mind, he explained how determination, intelligence, and innovation can transform individuals and society. His speech motivated students to adopt a problem-solving mindset and embrace technological advancement.
One of the major highlights of the first day was the keynote session by Shri .Manish Mathuria, Expert, E-Connect Solutions on the topic “Artificial Intelligence as an Engine of Growth: Transforming Marketing, Finance, and Operations”. He presented practical examples of how predictive AI and generative AI are being used by multinational companies to improve efficiency, customer engagement, risk management, and decision-making. He explained how AI tools are revolutionizing supply chains, digital marketing strategies, financial planning, and customer service systems.
The distinguished speaker of the day, Shri.Sada Shivam Shukla, Sr. Business Analyst, E&Y delivered an insightful lecture on “Blockchain, Data-Driven Decision Making, and Digital Transformation Roadmap”. He introduced participants to the fundamentals of blockchain technology and its applications in governance, finance, healthcare, and logistics. He also shared examples of blockchain implementation in Indian states such as Rajasthan, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi. His explanation of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum generated significant interest among the students.
Another highly engaging session was conducted by Shri. Projat Banerjee, Emerging Technology Developer, E&Y on “Smart Work with Smart Tools: Everyday Artificial Intelligence Tools and Smart Productivity Techniques”. This hands-on workshop introduced students to various AI-powered tools that can enhance productivity, automate routine tasks, improve communication, and assist in research and business analysis. Participants actively engaged in demonstrations and practical exercises, making the session both informative and interactive.
Throughout the first day, students displayed great enthusiasm and curiosity. They actively participated in discussions, asked insightful questions, and interacted with experts to gain deeper understanding of modern technologies. The sessions not only increased awareness about emerging business technologies but also inspired students to explore careers in analytics, consulting, AI applications, and digital transformation.
The event also provided networking opportunities where students and faculty members interacted with professionals from industry and technology sectors. Such interactions are highly valuable in helping students understand industry expectations and current market trends. Faculty members also benefited by learning about the latest developments in AI-enabled teaching and management practices.
BIZ-MAGE 2026 successfully fulfilled its objective of creating awareness about the future of business innovation driven by Artificial Intelligence and digital tools. The workshop reflected Jagannath University’s commitment to experiential learning, industry collaboration, and academic excellence. It served as a reminder that future-ready education must combine classroom knowledge with practical exposure to emerging technologies. Dr Deepika Tapariah, Associate Professor, delivered the vote of thanks for the event.
The first day of the seminar concluded on a highly positive note, marked by excitement, inspiration, and a growing interest among participants toward technological advancement. BIZ-MAGE 2026 proved to be an enriching and forward-looking initiative that empowered students with knowledge, motivation, and skills necessary for success in the digital era.
