Overview

The Faculty of Law, Jagannath University, Sitapura, organised a guest lecture titled “Beyond the Classroom: Internships and Career Pathways for Future Legal Professionals” on 30 October 2026 under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) S.P.S. Shekhawat, Head & Dean, Faculty of Law. The session was coordinated by Dr. Shailesh Sharma. The resource person was Mr. Rahul Sigchi (Maheshwari), Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Rajasthan High Court, Jaipur.

Mr. Rahul Sigchi shared his professional experience of more than 10 years in the legal field and highlighted the importance of internships, practical exposure, and professional development in shaping successful legal careers. He discussed various career opportunities in litigation, corporate law, taxation, intellectual property rights, and other emerging areas of legal practice. He also emphasised the importance of developing professional skills and gaining practical knowledge beyond classroom learning.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks to the resource person and the university administration for their support in organising the academic initiative.
