Workshop on Importance of CAD and Applications
On 6th April 2026, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology organized a workshop on “Importance of CAD and Applications” for the students of B.Tech and Diploma programs in Civil and Mechanical Engineering.
The workshop was conducted by experts from CAD DESK, Mr. Prashant Tiwari and Mr. Naman Pathak. The sessions were divided into two parts, comprising both theoretical and practical learning:
- Session I (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM): Focused on basic AutoCAD commands and keyboard shortcuts. The session provided students with fundamental knowledge essential for computer-aided design.
- Session II (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM): Focused on hands-on training, where students practiced drafting and designing a 2D plan of a Hospital Building in the Computer laboratory.
A total of seventy (70) students from B.Tech and Diploma Civil and Mechanical Engineering actively participated in the workshop with great enthusiasm. The sessions were interactive and helped students understand the practical applications of CAD tools in engineering design and drafting.
The workshop was efficiently coordinated by Mr. Hemant Kumar Agrawal (TIC, Civil Engineering) and Mr. Avinash Nath Tiwari (TIC, Mechanical Engineering), ensuring its smooth execution.
Overall, the workshop proved to be highly informative and beneficial, enhancing the technical skills of students and providing them with practical exposure to CAD applications.
