Site Visit conducted for students of Civil Engineering on 25th April 2026

On 25th April 2026, the students of B. Tech and Diploma (Civil Engineering), Faculty of Engineering and Technology, organized an educational site visit to Luniyawas, Jagatpura, Jaipur.

A total of 45 students, including 31 Diploma Civil and 14 B. Tech Civil, participated in the visit. The objective of the visit was to provide practical exposure to students and enhance their understanding of real-world construction practices.

During the visit, Er. Mohammed Asrar, Structural Engineer of the project, guided the students through the construction site of a Charitable Trust Girls’ School Building. The project featured a special structural design incorporating floating columns (without a conventional base) and covered an approximate construction area of 25,000 square feet. He explained the technical aspects and minute details of the structural system used in the building.

The students gained practical insights into both structural and architectural components of the building, including staircases, slab casting, and secondary beams. Special emphasis was given to economical design practices, focusing on cost reduction techniques in the design of beams, columns, and slabs.

The project also highlighted principles of energy-efficient and sustainable building design. The structure was designed to maximize natural lighting, reducing the need for artificial lighting during daytime. Additionally, proper ventilation ensured effective air circulation throughout the building, minimizing the need for excessive air conditioning. The use of lime plaster contributed to maintaining a cooler indoor environment.

The site visit was successfully completed by Mr. Hemant Kumar Agrawal (TIC Civil) & Mr. Giriraj Prasad Sharma.

Overall, the visit proved to be highly informative and beneficial, allowing students to observe and understand practical construction techniques and innovative design concepts under the guidance of the project engineer.
