Build Your Own AI Agent That Can Talk

On 6th April 2026, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) organized a seminar-cum-workshop on the theme “Build Your Own AI Agent That Can Talk” for the students of B.Tech and BCA (2nd and 3rd year) from the department of Computer Science and Engineering.

At the outset, Prof. (Dr.) Om Prakash Sharma, Pro-President and Dean, FET, formally welcomed the expert team comprising Mr. Akhil Pandey (Head of AI, Gradus), Mr. Shaswat (AI Developer, Gradus), Ms. Shreya Grover (Placement Head), and Ms. Shalangkreeta (Facilitator, Gradus).

The session was effectively conducted by experts from Gradus Pvt. Ltd. The primary objective of the seminar was to introduce students to the concept of AI agents and familiarize them with current industry requirements. The speakers emphasized the importance of developing market-ready skills through practical, outcome-based learning approaches.

One of the most engaging segments of the session was the live demonstration of an AI agent by Mr. Akhil Pandey and Mr. Shaswat. The AI agent demonstrated the capability to make calls and interact with users in multiple languages. It could understand instructions and respond intelligently, showcasing its potential as a powerful tool for learning and communication.

The session also featured an interactive quiz, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. Three students emerged as winners: Khushi and Anushka from B.Tech 4th semester, and one student from BCA 5th semester. This activity added an element of excitement and engagement to the session. A total of 86 students attended the seminar-cum-workshop.

Overall, the session proved to be highly informative and insightful, reinforcing the importance of practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge. It also introduced students to emerging technologies like AI agents, which hold significant potential in shaping future career opportunities.
