24-Hour Non-Stop DevSummit Hackathon 2.0 Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jagan Nath University, Jaipur Date: 1st May 2026
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jagan Nath University, Jaipur, successfully commenced the 24-hour non-stop DevSummit Hackathon 2.0 on Friday, 1st May 2026. The event marked the beginning of an intensive innovation-driven journey aimed at fostering creativity, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills among students.
The inaugural session began with the ceremonial lamp lighting in honor of Maa Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom. The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Er. Sanjay Kumar, Chief General Manager, BSNL, Rajasthan Telecom Circle; Guest of Honor Er. Brijesh Prajapati, Additional Director General (Telecom), Rajasthan; and Prof. (Dr.) Om Prakash Sharma, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Dean, Faculty of Law.
In his address, Chief Guest Er. Sanjay Kumar encouraged participants to effectively utilize such platforms for research and innovation, emphasizing that their efforts should contribute to the growth and development of society. Prof. (Dr.) Om Prakash Sharma Pro-Vice Chancellor, highlighted that DevSummit Hackathon 2.0 is a 24-hour continuous event scheduled from 1st May to 2nd May 2026. He informed that the hackathon received an overwhelming response with 1500 student registrations and 119 team participations. Out of these, 51 teams from 15 states and 40 cities were shortlisted for the final round to develop solutions addressing socially relevant challenges in domains such as Web 3.0 & Blockchain, Biotechnology, Next-Generation AI/ML, Open Innovation, IoT, and Green Technology & Sustainable Engineering. He also emphasized the university management’s continuous support in enhancing students' skills through such initiatives.
The inaugural session commenced with Vande Mataram and concluded with the National Anthem. The Hackathon was formally declared open by the Chief Guest, who extended his best wishes to all participants.
Following the inauguration, the second phase of the hackathon focused on mentoring and technical guidance. Esteemed industry experts and professionals, including Mr. Hitesh Kashyap (Founder, Primatrix AI), Mr. Rich David (Head of Security), Mr. Sanjay Lashkar (MERN & DevOps Specialist), Mr. Amit Sharma (IoT Specialist), Dr. Nikita Jain (DevOps Expert), Mr. Ashwani Belani (Sr. Software Developer), Mr. Ravi Ramawat (Sr. Data Scientist), Mr. Sunil Kumar (DevOps Engineer), Mr. Amit Kumar (Software Developer), Mr. Govind Kumawat (Data Science Engineer – AI & Robotics), Mr. Ayush Singh (Web Development, Cloud, Security, AI), Mr. Abhishek Agarwal, Mr. Rohan Raj Gupta (Founder & CEO, Prabony AI), Mr. Sudhanshu Kumar Jha (Founder, Girdixa Solutions), Mr. Vijay (Founder & Director, Snoozeit), and Ms. Mansi (Co-Founder & CEO, Snoozeit), actively engaged with participants as mentors and speakers.
The evaluation process was supported by a distinguished panel of judges, including Mr. Joy Banerjee (Vice President of Design, Blinkit), Mr. Vikas Bajpai (Lead, GDG Jaipur), Mr. Sudhanshu Kumar Jha (Founder, Girdixa Solutions), and Mr. Gajendra Aditya Gaur (CTO, Pedestral). They provided valuable insights and constructive feedback to guide participants in refining their solutions.
The smooth execution of Day 1 was ensured by the dedicated efforts of the conveners—Dr. Renu Bagoria, Dr. Rahul Mishra, Dr. Rishi Sharma, and Mr. Raghu Nandan Singh Hada—along with student conveners Yogesh Khandelwal, Mihir, Dev Sharan, Anup, and their teams, who managed all logistical arrangements efficiently. Special care and assistance were extended to female participants by Dr. Ruchi Dave, Dr. Jaya Sinsinwar, Dr. Renu Bagoria, Ms. Apoorva Khandelwal, and student coordinators Ankita and Bhumika, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment throughout the event.
Day 1 of the DevSummit Hackathon 2.0 concluded on a highly energetic and enthusiastic note, with participants actively engaged in ideation, development, and collaboration, setting a strong foundation for the final outcomes of the hackathon.
