Summary

The Department of Education, Jagannath University, Jaipur celebrated Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas on 15 November 2025 to honour the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and to recognize the cultural heritage and contributions of India’s tribal communities. The program included a welcome address, a documentary screening on the life and struggle of Birsa Munda, cultural performances, speeches, and a skit highlighting tribal history and the Ulgulan Movement.

Outcomes

The session helped students understand:

• Students gained awareness about tribal history, culture, and contributions.
• They were inspired by the values of courage, unity, and environmental protection.
• Enhanced understanding of Birsa Munda’s role in India's freedom struggle.
• Strengthened respect for inclusivity and cultural diversity.
