Career Opportunities for Teacher Educators

Objectives

• To introduce students to diverse career options after B.Ed.
• To provide guidance on government teaching exams like CTET, REET, PSTET, KVS, DSSSB, etc.
• To explain opportunities in private schools and coaching institutions.
• To familiarize students with higher education prospects such as M.Ed, MA Education, NET/JRF.

Summary

On 28th November,2025.The Department of Education, in collaboration with the Centre for Guidance and Career Counselling (CGCC), organized a guest lecture on “Career Opportunities for Teacher Educators”. The objective of this lecture was to provide detailed awareness about various career avenues available in the field of education and to guide students for future academic and professional growth. The session aimed to enhance the employability skills of pre-service teachers and motivate them to plan their careers effectively.

Outcomes

The session helped students understand:

• Students gained clarity about career prospects after B.Ed.
• Improved knowledge about competitive exams and preparation methods.
• Developed understanding of job roles in both teaching and non-teaching educational fields.
• Increased motivation for higher studies and research.
