Professor (Dr.) V K Agarwal
Professor V K Agarwal obtained his B.Sc., LL.B. and LL.M. from University of
Delhi. A brilliant scholar during his academic pursuits, he was awarded prizes and
merit scholarships for securing positions in LL.B. as well as LL.M. He received
his doctorate from Kurukshetra University.
Prior to his joining as Vice Chancellor of Jagan Nath University, he was Director,
Institute of Law, Kurukshetra University which he established in 2001 as its founder
Director. He has more than 34 years of rich experience in teaching, research and
University administration. During his tenure as Professor spanning more than 17
years, he has been Dean, Faculty of Law; Chairman, Department of Law; Dean Academic
Affairs and Registrar, Kurukshetra University. As a professional, he has also served
as Deputy Legal Advisor, Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India. He is associated
as an expert with various universities, state and national academic and administrative
Professor Agarwal has numerous research papers published in leading Law journals.
He has authored seven books including the widely read book ‘Consumer Protection
- Law & Practice’ which is running in its sixth edition and the recently released
book ‘Competition Act, 2002- Principles and Practice’. He has successfully supervised
08 Ph.D. research scholars and a number of LL.M. dissertations. He has delivered
Key-note address/chaired as a resource person various seminars/conferences of national
and international significance.
