    World No Tobacco Day on 31st May, 2024

    As per the guidelines from World Health Organization (WHO) every year 3lst May is observed as World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) in India. This annual campaign is an opportunity to raise awareness on the harmful and deadly effects of tobacco. This yearly celebration informs the public on the dangers of using tobacco.

    Regarding this, The Department of Student Welfare, Jagan Nath University is going to organize a Pledge Taking Ceremony on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day on 31st May, 2024 at both the campuses.

    FET_A report on Stress Management_ Bharat Ka Raj Yog workshop conducted on 4th April 2024

    On 4th April 2024, Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Jagan Nath University conducted a workshop on stress management for all the students of B Tech, Diploma, BCA and MCA. Around 350 students participated in the stress Management workshop.

    At the outset Prof. (Dr.) Renu Bagoria TIC CSE, welcomed external experts and all the members came for stress management workshop. Prof. (Dr.) Om Prakash Sharma, Pro-President and Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology in his address advocated that in today's fast-paced world, stress has become an inevitable part of life, especially for professional students who juggle academic responsibilities, internships, social life, and personal commitments. Stress not only affects their mental and emotional well-being but also impacts their academic performance and overall quality of life. In such a scenario, ancient practices like Bharat Ka Raj Yog offer valuable techniques for stress management and holistic well-being. On behalf of the management and Faculty of Engineering and Technology he extended a warm welcome to Amol Bhai and all the external members.

    Amol Bhai in his brief introduction narrated that Bharat Ka Raj Yog, also known as the Royal Path of India, is a holistic approach to living a balanced and fulfilling life. It encompasses various practices such as yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and self-awareness. These practices are deeply rooted in ancient Indian wisdom and have been time-tested for their effectiveness in managing stress and promoting overall well-being.

    The workshop started at 2.30 PM with deep sadhana by the external expert Amol Bhai and his team. In the introductory part of the Stress Management Amol Bhai highlighted the Benefits of Bharat Ka Raj Yog for young professional students. The key take away of the stress management workshop were;

    • Improved stress management: Bharat Ka Raj Yog equips professional students with effective tools and techniques to manage stress and maintain a balanced lifestyle.
    • Enhanced focus and concentration: Regular practice of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness improves concentration and cognitive function, thereby enhancing academic performance.
    • Better physical and mental health: Bharat Ka Raj Yog promotes overall well-being by reducing stress, anxiety, and depression and improving physical health markers such as blood pressure, heart rate, and immune function.
    • Increased resilience: By cultivating self-awareness and mindfulness, professional students develop resilience to navigate challenges and setbacks effectively.

    Amol Bhai finally concluded that by incorporating practices such as yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and self-awareness into their daily lives, students can effectively manage stress, enhance academic performance, and lead a fulfilling life.

    The workshop was successfully coordinated by Dr. Amit Goswami, Mr. Raj Kumar Sharma, Mr. Surendra Bisnoi and Ms. Preeti Vashistha.

    FET_A report on resume writing workshop conducted for students by FET on 2nd April 2024

    On 2nd April 2024, Faculty of Engineering and Technology conducted a Resume Writing Workshop. External expert Mr. Shantanu Singh Shekhar, Director of Educandor Pvt. Ltd., conducted the session.

    The workshop was highly engaging, with students participating enthusiastically. Mr. Shantanu systematically defined and executed each step of the resume writing process, making it easy for students to take forward themselves. 65 students participated in the workshop.

    During the workshop, a wide range of resume and CV samples from Google to leading companies were exhibited, providing students with valuable insights into effective resume writing. The workshop effectively conveyed the importance of crafting a compelling resume.

    Additionally, Mr. Shantanu introduced students to various online platforms, such as Canva and other tools, and guided them in using these tools to create their resumes. By the end of the workshop, students had successfully created their own resumes, highlighting the practical and hands-on approach of the session.

    Overall, the workshop was a valuable learning experience for 65 interested students, equipping them with the necessary skills and tools to create professional resumes that can make a strong impression on potential employers. The workshop was successfully coordinated by Dr. Rashmi Kaushik, Mrs. Pratibha Sisodia and Mr. Sudhanshu Vashistha.

    Poster Design Competition organized on 14th March 24 by Faculty of Engineering and Technology

    On 14th March 24 Faculty of Engineering and Technology organized a poster design competition for the students to encourage creativity and raise awareness on theme 1). War and Peace and  2). Viksit Bharat.

    Participants were invited to showcase their artistic talents while conveying meaningful messages through their designs. The primary objective of the competition was to engage participants in visual storytelling, highlighting the significance of War & Peace and Viksit Bharat through innovative and captivating poster designs. Additionally, the competition sought to foster a sense of community and collaboration among artists and enthusiasts, providing a platform for them to exhibit their skills and perspectives.

    All the students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Chaksu Campus and Sitapura Campus participated with great enthusiasm.

    Presence of Hon’ble President Prof. Vikas Misra and Pro-President Prof. Om Prakash Sharma along Faculty members of FET and the panel of esteemed judges Mr. Abhishek Bisnoi, Dr. Rashmi Kaushik, Prof. M.C Bohra, Dr. Jyotsana Khandelwal made the occasion more vibrant. The judging criteria were meticulously defined to maintain fairness and objectivity throughout the selection process.

     After careful deliberation, the judging panel identified 1st, 2nd  and 3rd positions at both the venues. The event served as a catalyst for meaningful dialogue and reflection on the theme War & Peace and Viksit Bharat by the young technocrats.

    The programme wrapped up around 3:45 pm with certificates distribution by Prof. Om Prakash Sharma Pro-President & Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The vote of thanks was given by Ms. Preeti  Vashishtha. The event was successfully executed by Mr. Pushpendra Sharma, Dr. Rashmi Kaushik, Ms. Preeti  Vashishtha and Dr Satyesh Raj Anand as coordinators at both the campuses .

    Seminar on "Web Wizardry: Frontiers and Modern Web Development Technologies”, 1st March 2024

    On 1st March 2024 Faculty of Engineering and Technology organized a Seminar on "Web Wizardry: Frontiers and Modern Web Development Technologies” from 1.30pm onwards.

    At the outset Dr. Om Prakash Sharma, Pro-President and Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology welcomed Mr. Gajendraditya Gaur, Chief Technology Officer - Pedestal and his team members with memento.

    Dr. Mr. Gajendraditya Gaur, Chief Technology Officer - Pedestal Techno World Private Limited, led the seminar with his team comprising Mr. Piyush Saxena, Mr. Abhijeet Singh Solanki  and Mr. Ashok Choudhary. Through interactive sessions and demonstrations, the team delved into the intricacies of modern web development, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and frameworks.

    The experts from Pedestal Techno World Private Limited provided students with insights into contemporary web development trends and technologies. The seminar, organized for skill development purposes, shed light on current industry practices and job opportunities in the field of web development.

    The seminar provided students with a comprehensive understanding of the latest tools, coding and methodologies used in web development, empowering them to stay abreast of industry advancements and meet the evolving demands of the digital landscape.

    Mr. Gajendraditya Gaur emphasized the importance of staying updated with industry trends and encouraged students to leverage their knowledge to pursue rewarding careers in web development.

    90 plus students attended the seminar and updated their skill with current trends and technologies in use. The two hours session was a real platform for students to learn and understand the concepts of web development.

    The event was a resounding success, fostering an environment of learning and collaboration among students and industry experts.

    National Science Day Celebration, 28th February

    The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FoET) celebrated the legacy of Sir C.V. Raman's ground breaking discovery, the Raman Effect, igniting curiosity and innovation worldwide resulting as National Science Day. Today 28th of Feb 2024 at 11.00 am onwards FoET organized a Quiz Competition on the occasion of National Science Day.

    Around 325 students of B Tech, Diploma and BCA from Sitapura and Chaksu campus participated in the Quiz Competition.

    At the outset Dr. Om Prakash Sharma, Pro-President and Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology greeted all the students on the occasion of National Science Day and motivated them to fairly participate in the Quiz.

    Empowering Female Professional Students, 26th February

    The Faculty of Engineering and Technology conducted an industrial visit on 26th Feb 2024. The visit was an enriching and empowering experience for the female students of B Tech, BCA, Diploma of Jagan Nath University. The aim of the visit was to provide real-world exposure, practical insights, and inspiration to the students by witnessing the functioning of industrial setups related to their respective fields of study.

    The industrial visit included visits to Bajaj Engg. Skills Training (BEST) Center located at Banasthali Vidyapith, Niwai, the prominent players in the professional sector.

    The main objectives were to; To expose female engineering students to real-world industrial operations; To provide insights into the application of theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios; To inspire and motivate students by showcasing successful women professionals in the industry; To foster networking opportunities between students and industry professionals; To enhance the students' understanding of industry trends and technological advancements.

    Around 45 girls of B Tech, BCA, Diploma participated with enthusiasm in the industrial visit.

    The visit was successfully conducted and coordinated by Ms. Preeti Vashishta and Deepika Sharma.

    The industrial visit was a resounding success, providing female engineering students with valuable insights, practical knowledge, and inspiration for their future careers.

    After the visit Prof. (Dr.) Om Prakash Sharma, Pro-President, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, appreciated the students for the discipline as per the feedback received from the Prof. (Dr.) Shailly Sharma, Director, and Dean, Bajaj Engg. Skills Training (BEST) Center located at Banasthali Vidyapith.

    UNAI SDGs Workshop
