Prof. Shishodia has been Plenary Speaker at the International Conferences in Germany , Egypt and Malaysia.
Prof. Shishodia has made study visits to various institutions in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, England, Scotland, Germany, France, Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, Switzerland, Italy, Egypt, Yugoslavia, Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and USA.
Prof. Shishodia has conducted and guided research amongst others in nuclear physics, solid state physics, positron spectroscopy, laser and plasma technology, solar cells, e-governance, network security , file security, parallel processing, Geographic Information System etc.
Prof. Shishodia has coauthored books in physics, computers and environmental sciences. The Books "Physics Through experiment I EMF Constant and Varying" and "Physics Through Experiment II Mechanical Processes" published by Vikas Publications have been recommended by the UGC in the Model Curriculum for B.Sc. undergraduate course.
Prof Shishodia has planned and implemented the growth of computer and IT education in the University of Rajasthan through Certificate, Diploma, Post-Graduate Diploma, MCA, MCA (Evening), M. Sc (IT), B.Sc.(Comp. Applications). This has been replicated in several other universities in Rajasthan.
Prof. Shishodia is now involved in development of microprocessor Based Laboratories for science and engineering students. He has also initiated activities under TEAL ( Technology-Enabled Active Learning) for students and teachers.
